Don joined Blair Nelson Enterprises Ltd. in 2005 after working with Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) for 25 years. A NAIT graduate, with a Civil Engineering Technology diploma, his duties evolved over time into design and building of water control structures, project maintenance, inventory control and public relations for both the private sector and government agencies.

During his 25 years with DUC, Don developed an excellent knowledge of environmental issues. This, combined with his engineering background, assists the company by ensuring that environmental impact is kept to a minimum. Don also has experience in setting budgets, preparing contracts and plans for projects and supervision of these contracts and projects.
